BOYLE RIVER OUTDOOR EDUCATION CENTRE

Boyle River OEC runs rafting trips in the Lewis Pass area of the South Island on the Hurunui (1 day), Maruia (2 days) and Grey (2 days) rivers.We also run the famous wilderness 5 day journey on the Clarence River for groups. We can organise raft guide training sessions for aspiring guides. We offer great day or half-day trips for beginners on the Boyle and Waiau Grade 2 and 3 rivers. School groups or adult groups are all welcome to try out some rafting skills as part of a multi-activity course or as a stand alone activity. We have self catering bunkhouse accommodation available in our Lodge.

We can put together a programme to suit your needs that includes climbing, abseiling, ropes courses, tramping, mountain biking as well as rafting!

ADVENTURE SPECIALTIES TRUST

For those looking for a rafting expedition with that real wilderness feel but without too much hairy-scary stuff, the Clarence is your river. Winding its way between the Inland and Seaward Kaikoura ranges, the Clarence begins near Hanmer Springs and ends at the Clarence Bridge north of Kaikoura. A real mountains to the sea trip. The river trip is over 200kms long and takes five days.

Your hosts, Adventure Specialties Trust have been operating for over 25 years and offer the Clarence trip at set times during the year. We are also able to organise a personal group trip for 5 or more clients. We are a Maritime New Zealand approved white water rafting operator.

Peel Forest Outdoor Pursuits Centre

Peel Forest Outdoor Pursuits Centre is run by a Charitable Trust organising and running educational, youth and special needs groups in river related water safety programmes and training as well as Eco Education from our Eco Lodge set in 50 acres of unique indigenous podocarp forest. We offer rafting trips on the Lower Rangitata River, Pukaki River Release trips and multi day trips on the Grey and Clarence Rivers. We also cater for school camps, family and corporate groups wishing to experience the outdoors, with activities including kayaking, ropes course, abseiling, tramping, rafting and team building, in fact, we will endeavour to cater to all needs. We are committed to enhancing the life skills of all.

RANGITATA RAFTS

We can guarantee you a thrilling rafting trip as the Rangitata maintains its grade 5 level at all water levels few others do. Rangitata rafts offers one day trips from Christchurch. Our rafting lodge is located 13 kilometers from Peel Forest Village on an historic high country station.

One scheduled trip per day means that we can create the friendly, relaxed atmosphere we are renowned for. Return transport ex Christchurch is optional. Everybody then gathers at our rafting lodge for lunch followed by 3 hours of fun and exciting rafting. Hot showers and a social BBQ complete the day.
