The Funyak Safari is truly unique – it’s the only experience of its type in the Queenstown region and is the most fun way to explore and experience every aspect of this amazing area. First of all you’ll travel an exciting 1 1⁄4 hours up the Dart River by Jet Boat, with all the thrills of braided shallow river Jet Boating and world famous jet spins, then you’ll begin your ‘Funyak’ journey in one of our unique inflatable ‘Funyak’ canoes. After full instructions, you’ll paddle / drift for a spectacular two hours downstream, taking in all the awe-inspiring sights found amidst the Dart River’s shimmering channels. Stop amongst the ancient beech forest to enjoy a wilderness buffet lunch and explore the hidden side streams, rock pools and dramatic chasms such as the beautiful Rockburn. QUEENSTOWN RAFTING The Landsborough wilderness rafting option is a journey through isolated, unspoiled New Zealand back country. Everything is provided, including amazing meals and exciting river action. Two night’s camping in this incredible wilderness area makes this a unique NZ wilderness experience. Our purpose built rafting lodge is situated on the banks of the spectacular Shotover River and offers apre-rafting facilities including hot showers, saunas and complimentary snack at our fully licensed café. |
WILD EARTH ADVENTURES Silver Peaks Rafting & Jet Boat Tours Enjoy a great day out on the Taieri River either rafting the gorge or jet boating up the river and rafting down the lower Taieri River. Fabulous scenery is the strong point of the first part of the trip, as you pass through native coastal bush that is over 8 centuries old. Enjoy the thrill of whitewater as we head down the gorge to the BBQ site. Recharge with a bite to eat, relaxing in the peace and tranquility on the banks of the river surrounded by native bush. After lunch there are opportunities to wander through the bush for a guided walk. Then complete your rafting trip to end at Outram Glen.
