Youth and Junior National Selection Races
April 6th and 7th 2013
You are invited to enter your team now.
This will be the National Selection race for the 2013 World Rafting Championships to be held in Rotorua and Kawerau on 13th – 17th November 2013.
Age groups:
Youth = Under 19 (includes the year they turn 19)
Junior = Under 23 (includes the year they turn 23)
6th April - Tarawera River Kawera Township
8am - Briefing
8:30 am - Sprint start
10 am - Head 2 Head start
1:30 pm - Slalom Course open for practice.
2:15 pm - Slalom Briefing
2:30 pm - 1st Slalom Run
3:45 pm - 2nd Slalom Run
5:30 pm - Results Announced at Tarawera River
7th April - Rangitaiki River Jeffs Joy middle section to take out
10:15 am - Briefing for Down River
10:30 am - Down River Start
1 pm - Results announced at Take out of Down River Race
Don't forget in order to compete in the Nationals you must be a current member of your National Federation. NZRA memberships run from 1 October to 30 September so you will need to renew your membership. Please forward in guide membership forms for team members also.

River Rescue:
NORTH ISLAND 4th – 8th November 2013 in Rotorua
SOUTH ISLAND 11th – 15th November 2013 in Queenstown
Senior Guides - reminder if you haven't done a River Rescue workshop since 2010, or any InHouse signed off River Rescue training with a Raft Assessor,
then you should look at doing a River Rescue workshop in order to maintain your currency to Trip Lead.
Information packs available soon from Raewyn.
Registrations for workshop will close 28th October 2013.
